Someone posing as Tom Cruise on Facebook took our client's life savings over six years of made-up reasons and promises. The bank rejected the complaint as authorised payments. We escalated to the Financial Ombudsman, which instructed the bank to refund £30,000.

An Instagram advert led our client to a fake trading platform and a £475,000 loss. Revolut said nothing could be done because the money went to crypto. We escalated to the Financial Ombudsman, which found the bank partly at fault and awarded £220,000.

Over 200 investors lost more than £16 million when the Buy2Let Cars scheme was shut down by the FCA in 2021. Every one of them had been refused by their bank. £12 million has been reimbursed so far.

Our team are all experts in their field and work together seamlessly to give your case the best chance for a positive outcome. Here’s what they do:
Our management team set the standards every case is held to. They oversee our investigators and Ombudsman specialists, making sure you receive honest advice, clear communication and the best possible chance of getting your money back.
Our experienced fraud investigators will guide you through the process of recovering your money. We will provide clear guidance on your chances of success, whilst providing the support you need. Read about our team of fraud investigators.
Our Financial Ombudsman team are experts within the FOS process and will communicate with the Ombudsman on your behalf. The FOS may require further evidence and ask questions regarding your case, which we liaise with yourself to provide.

Our founding team has direct experience working inside the Financial Conduct Authority, the Financial Ombudsman Service and major banks so we understand exactly how banks assess fraud claims and what the FOS looks for when reviewing a complaint.
We specialise in fraud recovery (it's what the whole company exclusively works on) which means we know how the case process works, inside and out. Our expertise will help guide and support you at every stage, no matter how complex your case, and even if your bank says no.
It’s great to be wary and we would encourage everyone to familiarise themself with the information that we have on Recovery Scams as it’s common to be targeted by a secondary scam.
Refundee will never reach out to you out of the blue or ask for money upfront. If someone reaches out in this way then please email us at enquiries@refundee.com
No-win, no-fee means you pay nothing upfront and nothing at all if we’re unsuccessful with your case. There are no hidden fees and no administration charges. You’ll only pay us a fee if your case is successful and you receive money from the bank.
Only if you win your case. You don't pay us a penny if we don’t win any money back from your bank. You can check our fees page for the details.
Yes, absolutely. Many of our clients recover their stolen funds and in total we have recovered over £140million so far. You can read more about our clients' experiences on our TrustPilot page where we are independently rated 'excellent'.
This depends on a number of factors but banks typically have up to 15 days to investigate and to confirm whether they are going to reimburse you. If you raise a complaint and this is escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service, the process can take 3–12 months, depending on case complexity, evidence requirements, and the number of disputes being assessed at the time.
