Domo Developments - How we can help
Refundee can help people who invested in Domo Developments to recover their money from their bank. We have been contacted by a number of people and we have started to work with them, to recover their money.
We believe that the chances of recovering the money are good, and we want to make people aware of their options.
What happened?
Domo Developments purported to be investing in property on behalf of ordinary retail investors. The directors were well known within the property circuit, attended a number of events, and claimed to be experts with a series of YouTube videos. Largely, they found investors at property events or property training sessions.
The premise of the “investment” was that individuals or businesses could lend their money to Domo Developments who would then purchase, redevelop, and rent/sell properties. Investors would get a % interest in return. Unknown to investors, millions of pounds was funnelled into an unregulated investment scheme called Black Capital that is widely regarded to be fraudulent. The directors of Black Capital and Domo Developments have all been major shareholders in a linked limited company called Domo Partners (formerly SARS Homes Ltd) since 2019.
Domo Developments was put into administration by one of its creditors and the directors allegedly provided the administrators with fake email addresses for the creditors of Domo Developments.
Can you get your money back?
Most banks have signed up to something called the Contingent Reimbursement Code (CRM) and we think most people should be covered by this. Unfortunately, banks are currently denying people refunds using exclusion clauses under the Code, that we do not feel are fair or should apply.
Therefore, we are currently helping people who’ve lost out to fight the banks’ decisions to deny reimbursement. To be eligible for our help, you’d need to have paid the money via UK Transfer on or after 28 May 2019 which is when the CRM came into force.
How can Refundee help?
Firstly, it’s the right thing to acknowledge that you can do this process yourself. Of course, doing it yourself can avoid having to incur a fee.
If you would like our help, then you can Start Your Claim on our website. We will then investigate your case, let you know whether we can help, put together your case, and manage the process from beginning to end. Our fees are fair, industry-lowest, and straightforward. We only charge a fee if we’re successful, and there are no hidden or upfront costs. Read more about them here.
We manage each case individually; however, the more victims who get in touch with us, the better. By building detailed knowledge of what happened, we can use that information across everyone’s case to improve their chances of success. This way, everyone benefits.
How would the process work?
Refundee manages everything for you. We begin with an investigation to understand what happened in your specific circumstances. After some paperwork, we handle your case from start to finish, working with your bank through to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
These cases can take around 6-12 months, although the process can vary in terms of duration.
Who are Refundee?
